The Art of the Draw - April 13 - 1 to 5

A 4 hour Class on Safely and Quickly Drawing From a Holster

This course improves existing holster skills

What We Teach

This course is designed to develop and hone your skills at drawing safely and quickly from a strong side holster. This is an advanced skill and we limit the class size to 12 students to provide individual attention.

We have worked with many students and have a variety of techniques to help you safely present and retain your firearm. We also work on the re holstering techniques and can guide students in selecting the holster that is right for them.

As active shooters in USPSA and IDPA we are familiar with many different holster types and manufacturers and can guide you in selecting a holster that is right for you. If you have a Glock, XD, CZ, 1911, etc chances are good we can loan you a holster that may work for you. Steve, Jon and Bob own a few guns and holsters between them.

We will also work with you to let you practice engaging multiple targets in a safe manner. This training will help develop or enhance new permit holders skills and help prepare folks for the action shooting like USPSA and IDPA.

When, Where and What Does It Cost

We have set the cost at $95, that includes all range fees, targets, and rental of eye and ear protection if required.

We will only offer this class once this season. April 13 from 1 to 5 at Monticello Rod and Gun Club.

You'll send an e-mail to rejahn@rejfirearmstraining.com to hold your date. We then need you to mail a check payable to REJ Firearms Training within the next few dates after we confirm that you are in the class. This assures your slot in the class.

What Do I Need to Bring

A good attitude and a desire to learn and have fun. This class requires you to have developed good gun safety and gun handling skills. You have to have practiced at the range and be able to get good hits from the bench and low ready position. We are teaching you to use a strong side holster, inside the waistband, outside the waist band, paddle or belt loops. No small of back, pocket, shoulder or ankle holster will be taught or allowed in the class.

A hundred rounds of reliable ammo should be plenty, but its always good to have more. A reliable gun, holster, mag pouch and all the magazines you have are a good thing too.
