Comprehensive Carry Permit
Training
An 8 hour Class that Qualifies for
the Minnesota and other states Carry Permits
What We Teach
This
course is designed to develop and hone your skills in Personal Protection. Your earn an NRA certificate in Personal
Protection in the home training and receive a certificate of completion
certifying you have met the all training requirements of Minnesota law to
receive permit to carry . This class is a solid learning experience with a
chance to practice the skills and discuss techniques with knowledgeable NRA
trained instructors.
We limit class size to provide individual attention and both instructors are experienced and skilled trainers.

We have worked with many, many students and have a variety
of techniques to help you understand the operation and tactical deployment of
your firearm. We strongly believe people learn by doing so we demonstrate and
you actually do the procedures demonstrated in a safe environment.
As active shooters in International Defensive Pistol
Association we are familiar with many different holster types and manufacturers
and can guide you in selecting a gun and holster that is right for you.
When, Where and What Does It Cost
We have set the course cost
at $115.00. That includes all the NRA materials, targets, course
supplies and any eye and ear protection required. In Range has many handguns for rent and if
you have not selected handgun you can try theirs out. If you don’t
already own a defensive handgun wait, take the class, try a variety and let us
help fit you with the correct handgun for your needs. The range fee and classroom fee, payable to
the In Range, is just
$20.00 including $1.14 state
tax. That’s $135
total for a premier class that qualifies you to carry in

We have over 8 hours of class time. We find people appreciate doing this over two evenings from 6:00pm to 10:00pm. This enhances the learning experience and the test is a take home. January dates are the 3rd and the 6th with a February dates at INRANGE to be determined.

What Do I Need to Bring
A good attitude and a desire to learn and have
fun. 150 rounds of reliable ammo should
be plenty, but it’s always good to have more. A reliable gun, holster,
mag pouch and all the magazines you have are a good thing too.
About the Instructors
Bob Jahn is president and a co founder of the Twin Cities IDPA
chapter. He is a 5 Gun Marksman in IDPA
and a graduate of Front Sight's 4 Day Handgun class, LFI I, DTI Intermediate
Handgun and 2 Final Option Advance Carry Classes. He is certified as a Personal
Protection Pistol instructor by the states of MN and
Jon is certified as an Personal Protection Pistol
Instructor by the NRA and by REJ Firearms Training as a MN carry permit
instructor. Jon also has the graduated from DTI's Intermediate Hadgun Class. Jon is also an FFL Class 1 stocking dealer and can obtain
almost any legal firearm for you. Jon is
a Marksman in IDPA's ESP and a Sharpshooter in the
SSP pistol classes.

instructors’ organizations where they serve as chairman .
